Documents required for account opening
Before you begin the Punch account opening process, make sure you have the following ready:
Aadhaar number — Along with access to the phone number linked to your Aadhaar, since you will receive OTPs for verification.
PAN card — If your PAN is not available on DigiLocker, you may need to enter the details manually.
Income proof — Required to activate the F&O (options and futures) segment. You can submit any one of the following: a bank statement (last 6 months), DP statement (last 6 months), salary slips (last 3 months), ITR acknowledgement (most recent year), or Form 16B (most recent year).
Good to know
Punch pulls your Aadhaar and PAN details from DigiLocker whenever possible, so you may not need to type everything in by hand. Having your documents ready before you start means you can complete the entire process in under five minutes.
