My bank account verification has failed, what should I do?

Bank verification failures are usually temporary. Retry after a few minutes or check that the account belongs to you.

Step 1 — Wait and retry

Most verification failures are caused by a temporary glitch between Punch and your bank’s servers. Give it a couple of minutes and try the verification again. In many cases, it goes through on the second attempt.

Step 2 — Confirm the account is yours

Punch can only verify bank accounts that are registered in your name (matching your Punch profile). If you are trying to link a family member’s or friend’s account, the verification will fail. Make sure the account holder name matches the name on your Punch account.

Step 3 — Check your bank details

  • Double-check the account number and IFSC code you entered.

  • Ensure the account is active and not frozen or dormant.

Still not working?

If the issue persists after multiple attempts, contact Punch support with a screenshot of the error. The team will investigate and help resolve it.
