Fingerprint scanning can occasionally be finicky, but most issues are easy to resolve on the spot.

Try These Steps First

  1. Wipe your finger and the sensor with a dry cloth. Moisture, oil, or dust can interfere with the scan.

  2. Make sure your finger is placed flat and centred on the sensor. Partial contact often causes a failed read.

  3. Check for any cuts, bandages, or skin peeling on the finger you registered. These change the fingerprint pattern enough to cause a mismatch.

If It Still Does Not Work

  1. Go to your phone’s Settings > Security > Fingerprint and delete your saved fingerprints.

  2. Re-enrol your fingerprint on the device.

  3. Open Punch and try logging in again.

Alternative: Use OTP Instead

If fingerprint login continues to fail, you can always log in using the OTP option. Punch will send a one-time password to your registered mobile number, and you can use that to access your account while you sort out the biometric issue.
