Why you need to link a bank account?

Your linked bank account is how money moves in and out of your Punch trading account. When you want to add funds for trading or withdraw profits, the transfer happens between Punch and this bank account. Linking also confirms that the account is active and belongs to you.

Which accounts are supported?

Punch currently supports savings bank accounts only. Current accounts are not supported at this time. During account opening you will link one primary bank account, and you can add a secondary account later once your Punch account is activated.

How to link and verify your bank account?

  1. During account opening, you will be asked to provide your bank account details.

  2. Punch verifies the account through a penny-drop check — a small amount (₹1) is either deposited into or requested from your account to confirm it is active.

  3. You can choose between two verification methods:

  • UPI verification — The fastest option, completing in about 30 seconds. Recommended if you have UPI set up.

  • Manual verification — Enter your bank details (account number, IFSC code) if you do not use UPI. This may take a bit longer.

Tips for a smooth setup

  • Use your primary savings or salary account to ensure you have enough funds when you start trading.

  • Choose UPI verification if available — it is significantly faster.

  • Once your account is active, consider adding a secondary bank account for extra flexibility.
