Switching chart types

  1. Open any chart in Punch.

  3. Choose a chart type: Candlestick, Line, Bar, Heikin Ashi, or Renko.

  4. Tap Apply.

The change applies to all charts globally.

Renko settings

Renko is the only chart type with extra configuration. After selecting it, choose the brick sizing method:

  • ATR — uses Average True Range with a configurable period (default: 14)

  • Points — fixed point value per brick (default: 3)

  • Percentage LTP — percentage of last traded price per brick (default: 1%)

Crosshair behaviour

  • On Heikin Ashi charts, the crosshair shows both the smoothed HA values and the raw OHLC values so you can compare.

  • On Renko charts, the crosshair label shows the active brick configuration (e.g., "Renko 0.5%" or "Renko ATR (14)").

Good to know

  • The chart type is a global setting — there is no way to set different types per chart or per instrument.

  • Renko bricks form based on price movement only. One brick might span minutes or days depending on market activity.

  • Candlestick, Line, Bar, and Heikin Ashi have no additional configurable settings.

  • Your selection survives app close, restart, and even reinstall.
