What Are Holdings?

Holdings are stocks you've purchased for delivery and are currently holding in your Demat account. These are shares you own, as opposed to intraday positions that are squared off on the same day.

What Information Can You See?

Your Holdings screen displays comprehensive information for each stock:

• Stock name and symbol

• Quantity you own

• Average buy price (calculated across all your purchase trades)

• Current market price

• Current total value of your holding

• Unrealised profit/loss (P&L)

• Day change (today's price movement)

Holdings vs Positions: What's the Difference?

• Holdings — Delivery stocks you own in your Demat account. These have no expiry and you can hold them indefinitely

• Positions — Intraday or F&O (Futures & Options) positions that settle at the end of the trading day or at expiry

What You Can Do from Holdings

From your Holdings screen, you can:

• Sell your holdings (partial or full quantity)

• View detailed information about each stock

• Track your portfolio performance
